What Worked For Me

In February 1998, I happened to see an infomercial with Richard Simmons. I had 2 of his exercise tapes that I never used. Richard has always been an inspiration to me with his caring and compassion for overweight people and all of his energy!! So I dusted off the tapes and started using them regularly. Then I got hooked up with Richard's web site and started making friends on his "boards". Many people told me how great his Deal A Meal food program worked for them, so I decided to order it. I started using Deal A Meal on April 1, 1998 and so far I have lost 22 pounds, putting me at a weight of 147. Right now, my goal weight is 130 pounds and when I get there I will see if that is where I feel comfortable or not. Notice...I said, "When I get there"...not "if I get there"!! Because I no longer feel that losing the weight is hopeless. By using Richard's tools I will accomplish my weight loss goals!! I do not consider this a diet...it is a healthier way of eating and I feel that I can easily eat this way for the rest of my life. When I was on a diet I couldn't wait to get off of it so I could eat "normal" again. Not this time...I don't deprive myself and I won't have to abandon this way of eating when I lose the weight.
