Brave Heart Lion, Treat Heart Pig, Bright Heart Raccoon, Cheer Bear, and Champ Bear are all fixing up an old theatre. There is an old legend that this theatre is haunted by a phantom. While working there, the young care bears and care bear cousins are chased by this phantom. When they tell Brave Heart Lion about it, he thinks it is just their imaginations. That is untill, he sees the phantom himself. Realizing that they can't fix up the theatre while the phantom is there, Brave Heart decides to face his fear and try to talk to the phantom. On his search for the phantom he steps on a switch causing a phantom to drop, which scares him. Soon he realizes that the phantom is a dummy. Just then the other cousins and bears rush in running from a phantom. Brave Heart rushes over and cuts the string by which the phantom is hanging. The phantom then falls in a box and is trapped. Then they take off his mask, the find the phantom to acctually be Grumy the Magnifican, played by grumpy bear. He confesses that he had been pretending to be the phantom ever since the theatre closed because he had no where else to go. The care bears and cousins talked him into helping them reopen the theatre as a movie theatre. The lesson in this story is, don't let your fears keep you from accomplishing your goals.
