The 2000 Knights look to defend their 1999 State Championship. The Knights have 8 returning players: those players will have to provide strong leadership to get the newcomers ready to compete for a State Championship. This year's team is led by All-State Outfielder Russ Reyes. Russ has been a Varsity starter for the past two years and was a major contributor to the Knights success last season. Senior Russ Reyes said " This season we are going to have to do all the little things right. We need to have solid pitching, defense, and be able to move runners over." Coach Scott Harding feels this year's team has the potential to get back to Carroll, provided they learn how to play the game "RIGHT." He believes that the Knights biggest strength will be their pitching which is anchored down by seniors, Nick Renkosik, Josh Pickett, Mike Bitterman, Matt Jones, and Matt McCollaugh.
Postionally the Knights are lead by Captain Russ Reyes. Reyes will recieve plenty of help from Senior Captain Chris Ewen, left fielder, Captain Matt Furlong, third baseman.
