Meet the Davenport Assumption Coaching Staff
Head Coach: Scott Harding
Scott attended Moline High school and continued his baseball career at College of St. Francis, and then Pensacola Juco then went to St Ambrose in Davenport, Iowa. He was an assistant coach to Jim Murphy(now at Iowa State)for 5 years and has been head coach for 3 years. Scott was selected coach of the year in both the mac confernece and the state of iowa. He also coaches the varisty girls basketball team.
Assistant Coach: Craig Schimmel
Craig attended Moline High School and continued his baseball career at Black Hawk Juco, where he was an All-American Short stop, and then finished his career at St. Ambrose. He has been an assistant coach at Assumption for 3 years. Craig is directs the infielders and works with the hitters.
Pitching Coach: Mike Hoffstatter
Mike graduated from Moline High School where he was a standout baseball player for the maroons. Mike went on the play at Auguastana College. Mike is in his first year at Assumption.
Assistant Coach: Bill Healy
Bill is in his first year at Assumption. He was an All-State player at Alleman High School. He is currently playing at St. Ambrose University where is an NAIA All-American Centerfielder. Bill works with the outfielders and is our strength and conditioning coach.
