Some of My Favorite Bible Verses

Ecclesiates 4:9-11~ Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?

Proverbs 17:17~ A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Song of Songs 8:6-7~ Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death its jealousy unyielding as the grave. Matthew 4:19~ "Come follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers or men."

Matthew 6:33-34~ But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each say has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 7:7~ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

John 15:5-7~ I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

Acts 1:11~ "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."

Acts 4:12~ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

Romans 16:19-20~ Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7~ Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not selfseeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perserves. Love never fails.

Ephesians 4:1-3~ As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

1 John 1:9~ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 4:7-10~ Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Revelation 7:16-17~ Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepard; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
