Alison Sweeney made her debut on "Days of Our Lives" as the rebellious and vindictive teenager Sami Brady in January 1993. She earned the 1996 and 1998 "Soap Opera Digest" Award as Outstanding Villainess. She made her television debut in a Kodak commercial at the age of five. She soon began landing roles on prime-time series, such as "Brand New Life," "Family Man," "I Married Dora," "Tales from the Darkside," "St. Elsewhere," "Webster" and "Simon & Simon." Her film credits include the role of Stephanie in Dyan Cannon’s "The End of Innocence" and that of Alice in "The Price of Life." She has appeared in stage productions of "Wedding Band" and "Traveling Lady." Sweeney was born in Los Angeles. In her spare time, she enjoys kickboxing, horseback riding, swimming, waterskiing, alpine skiing, inline skating, and playing basketball, volleyball and softball. Aside from acting, she is also interested in other areas of the entertainment industry and hopes to become involved someday in directing television and film. Her birthday is September 19.
