It begins with Angel at a bar. Didn't look like much... him telling a story to some guy about Buffy while drunk... but was he really drunk? He proceeds to go outside and rescue the damsels in distress though some major figh action against a couple of vampires. Kudos for the stake in the sleves move.
He goes home to find the Irish half demon Doyle waiting for him. He has a mission for Angel, which the "other" Irish demon accepts.
He find Tina to "rescue" but it doesn't go all that well. The day after a fight, she finds out what Angel is and heads for the hills. Unfortunately, she doesn't get that far. The fellow that Angel was trying to save her from, the vampire Russell Winters, gets to her first and kills her.
This does not go over well with Angel.
Angel and Doyle procceed to go to war against the vampire. Doyle goes with Angel to the Winters home only to find the vampire has a new friend-Cordelia Chase. Angel succeeds in her rescue, after takign a number of bullets.
The following day, Russell is in a calm business meeting with his lawyer henchpeople when Angel shows up...
and pushes him through a window.
Angel makes a phone call to Buffy, but hangs up after her hello. Obviously, he has yet to get over her and probably never will. Cordelia moves in with the two demons and Doyle may have admitted to a potential crush on Miss Chase....which is so far confirmed from what I read in my TV guide.
Hmm, first politicians working the dark mojo with demons, now lawyers and vampires...
Why is the surprise not setting in?
