"In The Dark"

Spike makes his grand debut on "Angel".

In the opening, after Angel rescues a blond (You know, can he maybe rescue someone else beside sobbing women? It's kind of getting old, that's just my opinion.).After he dispatches her homicidal maniac boyfriend, Spike is above and give by far the funniest dubbing I have ever heard. He watches Angel leave and makes it clear his intentions towards Angel.

Oz arrives in L.A. He comes to the agency with the ring.

Doyle is excited, but Angel looks to be far from it. He does not put the ring on, instead he hides it under a brick.

The girl he helped the previos day calls him. He goes out to his car, but gets smacked on the head with a big hunk of wood by Spike. The two duke it out.

After Spike leaves, Angel tells Cordy she has to stay with Doyle for awhile until this is resolved. It's possible that Spike could track her down and she would be safer elsewhere.

At Doyle's place, the hlaf demon is having hard luck getting any information. In fact, he stirs up some resentments and answers the phone with "House of Pies". He's convinced though, a fellow named "Manny the Pig" knows something because he mentioned Spike before Doyle did.

So off Angel goes to kick some ass.

He find Spike in the back of a club drinking off some girl. He runs off to a dead end. Then Angel is captured by a professional vampire torture guy.

Some gruesome Angel torture ensues.

Spike gets bored and trashes Angel's place looking for the ring. Instead he finds Cordy with a crossbow and Doyle with a gun. He tells them they have to find the ring or Angel will be disposed of.

They find the ring in the sewer, after Doyle goes demon for a few second. This character must live so we can find out more of what he is exactly.

They deliever the ring to Spike. Think he's one, Spike reaches down for the ring, but Oz drives in John Wayne style with two crossbows. Angel is taken in the van and they leave off.

It's then Spike realized the ring is gone.

And torture guy walks out into the sun.

Angel demands they turn around because he knows his tormentor has the ring and that he likes kids. Oz relucantly turns it around.

In the nick of time, the slam into the vampire. In a very good action sequence, Angel jumps out of the van, igniting on fire and pushes him off the pier.

A nice fight follows in which Angel kills him by pushing him onto a piece of wood, then ripping the ring off.

Angel then, for the first time in over 200 years, walks in the sunlight.

In the end, he makes the decision to destroy the ring for fear he might forget the people trapped in the night life, the ones who need him most.
