the HISTORY OF
 FAYETTE COUNTY, IOWA
1878
pp 686-692

Elizabeth Robertson Alexander and brother James Robertson came to the Westfield/Fayette area in the late 1840's to make the Valley their home for the rest of their lives.  There families would be raised here, they would "create" Upper Iowa University and be very influential in the community.  They, like others, would have interrelated with almost everyone on the biographical list.

Note:  most pages in this sight are very large as they contain a large amount of graphics (pics) which take a very long time to load.   Many times a large page will "time out" and stop loading.  Generally you can continue the loading process where you left off by clicking the "refresh or reload" button.   Click back out if you get tired of waiting.  Save the page to your hard drive if it is something you want to review later.  It will load rapidly from your hard drive, and you can delete it when done with the material.  Pages within the site often get reviewed and updated every year, so the material may change some in the future, but now significantly.
