The Kings Of Ignorance

- The following is an excerpt from an old work I started to write in
1986 called "Imagine Nations". It is
still unfinished. This is the first chapter of Part II, entitled "Sights
from the Acidic
Plane of Existence", which is a dimension where everything is either
acidic, or has some of the many properties of an acid (E.g.: caustic,
corrosive, spirited, toxic, etc.). In many cases, acid will break a
material down into its native components to separate useful from waste,
as in stomach acid. The following is a report from an individual who had
traveled to this dimension and returned to tell about it. As usual, no
one payed any attention to his report, and his case is still unsolved. He
kept a journal of his travels, most of which was burned in an apartment
fire he suffered. This is a fragment of his surviving journal (more may or
may not follow). ===>

- There is, for some unknown reason, an overall lacking of consistency
in the public understanding as to who are the Kings of Ignorance, where
they are, and what they are generally about. It is here that you locate
an antique fable told before time began. As you read it, the fable creates
chemicals in your body which become the reality that you have always
known.
The Fable
- Once upon every moment in time since man walked the earth, there was
the Pope Who Would Be King and his black, invisible shadow, the Black Pope
Who Would Be The Oligarchic Totalitarian. Both forever sent their Minions
of Skullduggery far and nigh to perform reconnaissance and Sacred
Pillaging. Whosoever opposed their spiritual choke-hold on the world was
treated with the multi-varied forms of Holy Torture, ordained and
sanctioned
by the Infallible Grandsister of the Pope Who Could Be King. By the
Inarguable Benevolence which eternally flowed from the Sacred Heart of the
Blessed Grandsister, the devastation and carnage that arrived by the Holy
Tortures could take many forms. Poverty was invariably the price one paid
for breaking the opinionated Unchangeable Doctrines of the Faith that are
still revised and amended bi-monthly by the Council of the Pious Pawns of
Idiocy which like the sands by the sea shore are innumerable. Even death
was not unthinkable to these Prehistoric Champions of the Faith as a
punishment which they arbitrarily meted out; despite the fact that written
in the pages of a Book they claimed to represent is etched in stone --
"Thou Shalt Not Kill"
- Thus, here, as well as an infinite number of other places, arises the
paradox of their incalculable ignorance. Their ultimate fate is also
recorded in the same Book that they brandish with multiple excuses,
apologies and explanations as to its TRUE meaning. Their
doom
being spelled out in vivid clarity in the latter pages of that Book
becomes the final slamming hammer which smashes their own ignorance
directly into their faces. Naturally, this will force them to confront
their blind retardation in full view of everything that has ever been
created and to ponder it forever in their blackened hearts.
- Their anthem is also a paradox of ignorance -- for contained within
it is the precise solution to the entire dilemma. They would unwittingly
sing this anthem in the centre of their subconscious minds as they
tortured, maimed and killed those who stood in their path, or those whom
they judged to be deserving of it. As before, some sang in falsetto, some
jingled, some spicattoed on cellos, and some yelled as they fueled their
fiery torture racks.
- He was told just how to feel,
- He was taught just what to think,
- But he didn't and he wouldn't
- Since he wouldn't so he couldn't
- And that was the end of him.
- Oh, yes! We know it all,
- And our brains are very tall;
- But we reek of death, just smell our breath,
- Our ego says that is O.K.
- The scapegoat pays the price.
- When we tell you what to think,
- And we teach you how to feel,
- You will bow and you will kneel
- And you will say that it is real --
- THE WORLD WILL THINK LIKE US!
