Keith "KG" Grage joined the HBL in the 2000 season, and everyone expected him to be an excellent three-point shooter, which he was. But what wasn't expected was that he would be a great all-around player. He got off to a great start, beating the "Rookie Curse" and with teammate Bryce Caldwell, getting the Lightning a record six-game winning streak to start the season. A teammate change didn't slow him down a bit, as he ended up leading his team in scoring, both shooting categories, and steals. More importantly, he earned a reputation as the one guy who is going to hustle all 24 minutes of each game; a guy who you always have to look behind you for, or else he'll probably steal the ball before you even see him there. KG's playing future in the HBL is up in the air, but if he returns in the 2002 season, you can bet he'll be hustling all over the court, bombing threes and sticking some of the best "d" in the league once again.
