Titans

The Titans opened their team history as THE underdog in 1999, with an unproven but highly-spoken of rookie (Domino Hendrickson) and a somewhat undertalented veteran (Bill "The Kid" Carter). However, Derek proved just how much one man can do for a team, as they started the season 5-4 even with the considerable weakness of Billy the Kid. Domino literally lit up the league, scoring before-unheard of amounts of points on a regular basis. Bill Carter abruptly quit after Week 5, but PureSugar, orphaned from the Lightning's absence after Week 4, was right there to take his place. Without Pure, they wouldn't have gone as far as they did, as Pure used the chance to resurge his career and stake his claim to the title of best clutch shooter of the HBL. The two set the nets on fire with three after three en route to finishing 7-6, and sweept the Warriors in the playoffs. They then made their trip to the Finals where they were heavy underdogs, haven been beaten up by them regularly and never winning against them in the regular season. But the Titans shocked the world, winning the first game of the Finals, and gave the SabreCats a scare before bowing out of the Finals 1-2. In 2000, after Domino returned in Week 3, they picked up right where they left off, securing first place in the regular season with an 8-4 record, as well as a five game winning streak. They beat the Warriors in three games and this time, when they met the SabreCats in the Finals, they finished the job, ousting the defending champs to win the franchise's first-ever HBL Championship. In 2005, PureSugar returned to the Titans, and Shooter Hartley joins him after a huge trade with the Warriors, as the Titans look to add another championship to their mantle.
