H. B. WORLD - SPAN: A Service of "The Weekly Roomer"

"What A Relief! We don't feel so bad about Hotel Bravo's Elevator #1 breaking down between the third and fourth floors back in 1981 since hearing about that feller in Georgia whose Crematorium broke twenty years ago! A thing like that can be really embarrassing and if you tell people then they just nag ya to fix it!"
...Quoted in the H.B. In-house Newsletter, "The Weekly Roomer"

"Ed, I was pleased to meet you and your family in person last weekend.
Hope you had a safe and uneventful trip back home.
As promised, I am including my somewhat off the cuff tribute to Ed Barry.
Due to my lack of computer skills, I could not copy my tribute directly,
but here it is:

['Edward Francis Barry,
In Memory of a good man and a good friend...
Ed Barry was one of my best friends in Vietnam.
The men in the platoon liked and respected him;
Ed was always cheerful and worked
his way through the toughest situations
without losing his cool or sense of humor.
May he rest in peace.']

You can see my tribute at, 'http://www.thevirtualwall.org',
under 'Edward Barry from Wantah, New York.'
(Note, the name of his hometown is misspelled,
but go with their version of it
or you will not find him.
Be well, Bob Dyson"

Doc,

"It's on I-40 S of Knoxville, Tn. The bridge crosses the Tn River and has a sign which says "In Memory of Mitchell Stout, MOH Recipient". . I was going to take a pic coming back but the sign was down on the Northbound side...some construction going on and I guess they removed the sign. It was still there on the Southbound side though.

"When you go to Benning it's about the same distance going down through Tn/Ga as NC/SC/Ga. I-81 turns into I-40 just S of Knoxville and then turns into I-75 which will take you to Atlanta. Or you can go to I-59 and take Rt. 431 over to Columbus.

"Would be nice to have a picture of the sign. After all he was a former Panther."

Later-

John Ax

U.S. intervention in Asia divided us,

bringing new and uncomfortable perspectives to our culture,

while tearing our hearts, numbing our minds,

and bringing us to our knees.

In Truth, The End Began when O'Mally sold out,
but just before the Beginning of The End...wasn't it GRAND?

Remember that '55 Chevy we wish we had?
