FLEET DATA: The Legacy class explorer is the latest in the new high tech exploration vessels being built by the Federation, orginaly designed as a new warship for the Dominion War, the end of the war and the New Exploration Directive had it changed into a explorer configuration with millitary, diplomatic, and scientific concerns being taken into consideration. Amoung the features are a full diplomatic center, with meeting rooms special quarters and other amenities to suit the needs of visiting delegates. The weapons are upgraded to include the new Quantum torpedos, as well as the traditional photons and the new type XI phasers have been installed which have a new range capibilites and targeting computers to fire them. Scientificly the Legacy class has been fitted with the new longer range sensors and hololabs first pioneered on the Epmitheus. In short she is everything the explorer classes are meant to be, versitle, capible and beautiful the a paragon of what the designers of Starfleets vessels strive for.

The legacy is based off a concept image from Star Trek Armada, which I have yet to get a digital image of it. Imagine it being to the Sovereign what the Nebula is to the Galaxy Class. Compact and with a Mirandaish 'roll bar' and underslung naecells etc.
