To Lay in Sleep
There she lies breathing,
Asleep,
Perhaps to wake in a timeless matter,
With breath no longer.
But air floats on to nature
To move the spirits into soul searching
Of an unidentified object.
There she lies breathing,
Dreaming,
Nightmares and lullabies,
Not knowing an ultimate divinity,
For she lies sleeping,
Unknowing,
But goes on
To lie sleeping.
