"1) Without him, the revolution never would have happened. Utena never would have even began to duel if he hadn't been there to push Anthy around and be nasty to Wakaba.

2)He may have serious problems, but he is a lot less evil than some OTHER bishounen I could mention *coughAkiocough* ;)

3)All he wanted in the first place was someone to love him... something eternal. "Eternal friendship, perhaps?"

4)He's complex, increadably so. Not just one of those dark, brooding types. He has a good reason.

5)Golly, he's beautiful...

Why Saionji?

- He's quite unlucky
- I decided to take some kendo lessons
- He's born just one day before me!
- Usually I call my little brother "MONKEY!!!!" and he runs away shouting "CHU!!!!"
- He's Wakaba's love: I support Wakaba too, as you can see
- I haven't seen the series because in Italy they haven't been published yet (hope for the end of the year) but I love the idea of him living with Wakaba for a while, though *nothing* happens -__-
- Another bishounen in that anime! I can't believe that!
- Say what you want, but the couple Touga-Saionji looks great
- ... they are friends, AFTER ALL
- The curry scene in the manga!
- Wavy LONG hair!!!!!!

Why Saionji?

Thorn writes, "Ever since I saw the first episode of Utena, I've loved Saionji. He's my favorite character on the show by far. I always have to deal with my friends writing him off as an evil jerk and worshipping Touga >_<;; My friend and I finally became so adamant in our protest of all the Utena sites out there that say 'Saionji is some green haired evil guy who smacks Anthy around' that we knew we had to build a decent shrine to him, to add to the small amount out there, and build support."
