Cindy Parlow is my personal inspiration..Her game style is most like mine so I love to learn from her.. During the Womens World Cup she was the youngest player to start.In 1998 she only played in 13 games because she was in her senior year at UNC. She was a gold medal winner in the Goodwill Games in 1998 and was the youngest on the gold winning USA olympic soccer team in 1996. She started training for the USWNT in 1995. She also has played for the US U-20 team at the Nordic Cup... She was the top player at college level in 1998. She also won the Hermanm Trophy and MAC (not a reference to Shannon Macmillian..haha..) Player of the year award being only the second to win both trophies. (Mia was the first one to win both)She led UNC in game winning goals and also was named ACC Player of the Year for 1998(isn't she talented?) She has been named a First-Team NSCAA All-American for years in a row, 1995-1998.In 1997 she was the MVP of the ACC tournament.In 1995 she was the Soccer America Freshman of the year.Also was voted All-ACC and ACC rookie of the Year as a freshman. Overall she ended her soccer carrer at UNC with 68 goals and 53 assists. It only took Cindy three years to complete high school.(not only athletic but very smart)In 1994 she was Tennessee High School player of the year, a three time all-region and all-state selection at Germantown High and was MVP of state and regional tournaments. She scored 105 goals in just three seasons an is also the state leader in assists with 83..She was the high-school All-American twice and a basketball MVP her freshman year in high school.
She was part of the Memphis Football Club and won state championship from 1990-1995 and was second in the nation at the U-17 level in 1995.They won regional championships in 1992 and 1995. CP if you ever come here read this please!!
I would also like to take the oppertunity to say I am her #1 fan..She is my hero and I think my style of game is like hers...I watch all of her games and I try to learn from her..We are the same height and everything and I think we are alike a lot..Not like I'll ever be as good as her tho..But I can try.. CP if you ever see this please let me know!!!
