Legends and Myths
A great interest of mine are old legends and folk-tales. When I say folk-tales I do not only mean those we normally think of when we hear the word, the old ones, but also the new tales created by us today. You might say; we do not have any tales from today, but think about it. We do really. Not only are there doesens of tales going around about people getting kidnapped by aliens and taken on board UFO's, but we also tell tales about foreigners.
These modern myths holds a great similarity to those told by our ancestors in earlier centuries. I am going to present a variety of such for you. If you yourself has any that you want to share with the rest of us. Please send them in a mail and I will publish them on my page. I will be most grateful since I am a collector of these tales and I am most interested to get new ones from all over the world. When you mail, please tell me in which country you live and how old you are, I am also interested in if you are a student, or if you work and with what. All this information is of course volontarily.
You will also be able to read some old tales and legends. For the modern reader it is rather obvios that these are myths and legends. We can clearly see the pattern in a way that it can be difficult for us to see our own. Maybe the reader of tomorrow will find the same pattern in our modern myths
Please read and enjoy the part of my litle collection. I am sure you will recognize some of these. Maybe you have even read them in a newspaper. Many modern myths are published as news, but if you look deeper into them you will see a pattern that can be followed to similar stories all around the world.
