Do you sense a new atmosphere of enthusiasm?

Enthusiasm for life brings me to thoughts of how I am willing to reach my full potential in this delightful essence.

Stepping into the new year, we have the choice of how to invest each moment: favorable or less favorable. Staying aware is the key. We can attain awareness simply through practice. Whatever method works for you to do this, continue using it!

It all has to do with attitude. Are there areas where we are not satisfied with our attitude? It is simply a matter of deciding to change. Making the decision is the important step. Once that is done, the rest can fall into place.

Awareness must continue to reign to show us where our focus lies. This takes us back to our attitude and the choices we make.

Once we are living within our preferred attitudes and realize how easy it is to do, it provides astonishment to realize or understand why anyone would choose anything less favorable.

Enthusiasm is the spice of life!

When I know I could be meditating to discover how to use my time, I tell myself I will do so in a minute, when I finish what I am doing now. Because of the delay, I often begin another project after I have completed that one. I am still not taking the time to meditate and ask if I am doing what is wholesome.

I can pray easily as I am about my daily activities. Meditation, or taking time to listen, is another matter.

Meditation takes such a little amount of time. There is no threat of losing time. Through listening, the Lord offers guidance and assurance to the necessity of doing the activities.

If I am actively busy and think there is too much to do, I often receive nudges to take a walk. This gets me away from the work surroundings and allows me to relax. When I return to my work, I have a new perspective and can reach accomplishment with greater ease and much more speed. This results only if I obey.

If I say instead, "But I have so much to do. I don't have time for a walk right now," I find myself dreading my work. I skip from one task to another, not successfully doing anything.

It takes such a little time and does so much simply to ask God what is to be done now... and then listen for His answer!
