Attitudes

Do attitudes control our life or do we control our attitudes?

Can we flip a switch if an undesired attitude is trying to take control? Do we choose your attitude toward life or do others choose it for us? Do we recognize an unfavorable attitude if it tries to step into our life? What effect does it have? Does it make us depressed or bored? Does it make us angry? Does it affect our outlook upon the world? Do others prefer not being around us because of our negativism, sarcasm or dissatisfaction with life? Most likely, we would prefer they see us as a creative person, full of joy.

Let us take a few minutes to write unfavorable attitudes we may have. We need to be honest. This is private information. The desirable attitude we want as a replacement for each unfavorable can be put in writing. We can write what effect the favorable attitude can have on our life.

This gives a smile! We are making steps in the right direction. We will soon be the unique individuals we want to be.

SHORT CUTS TO AWARENESS - Elucidation

As the new year travels on, we continue to include a series of personal reminders and suggestions for relaxation exercises and methods for uniting in communication with others.

Discovery is everywhere.

May these personal reminders give you the joy of discovery and enlightenment.

Each Short Cut best finds its enchantment if the exercises are performed in a quiet, relaxing space.

There are no "short cuts" if the path of awareness has not already been traveled. Each person's path is unique.

In quiet meditation, hold a $50 (or $5) and image it being $500. What thoughts surface? Is there confusion or frustration? Or, do thoughts of prosperity and freedom come forth? Image the money in your hand being $5,000. Does this change your thought pattern? Ask Creativity to show you how to fulfill these dreams.

PURPOSE: To realize what effect money has on your life style.

HINT: Practice can keep your thought pattern favorable. Let unfavorable thoughts dance by without notice.

Facets of Light - Colors

Color influence, even though it is subtle, can apply to attitudes and emotions. Acting upon this belief, surrounding myself with preferred colors has either been tucked away or it is offering unconscious influence. It has proven a delightful study and I am currently doing further research and experimenting with the effects of colors surrounding me.

Each person is influenced differently, depending on memory and past experience. Red might be a delightful, energetic color to some. Others see it as anger or radiating other hostile influences. The influences can be altered if we are willing to heal the less favorable and find the Goodness in each color. It then does not radiate the unconscious influences as we go about our daily activities.

"Likening To"

When loathsome fear did instill upon two driven seekers fair -
That gaping maw then bore away their sight once clear.
Held wide the emotion drifting forth laid bare -
Which then drifted along to sway the deafened ear.

And thereupon that humble place hath met -
Those sorrowful souls who pine upon the 'morrow.
They there within hath caught in silken net -
The embrace at length for one another's sorrow.

Then sun and stars hath turned within the sky -
The rise and fall of light as to them of hope.
So behoves them each at length their sorrows cry -
And make for in faith the other's dream to grope.

At length then each those cheeks be wet -
Hence part of soul each did the other borrow.
And lo the tenebrous bond of trust was set -
Beneath which lurks as seek such mind to hollow.

One wing shall sprout apiece unto each that try -
The other part did unto lower place elope.
Yet caught within such net could e'er they fly -
Where dangles hope amidst the fraying rope.

Mayst clasp in hand with wing aloft in air -
That each would hold and set aflight all fear.
Far better that something greater each they share -
In trust the care of hope and all that both hold dear.
