Crafting
Creative crafting includes myriad possibilities. It encircles many domains. What talents do we want to bring to our surrounding world? Is there a special enjoyment? Baking bread, playing a musical instrument, painting, public speaking, a craft, visiting with shut-ins, working with flowers or puttering in the garden can provide a wealth of gifts we can offer to others. Developing a talent into a service brings rewards rich beyond measure.
We express from our inner being through music, whether it be dance, violin or other instrument, singing or writing scores and lyrics. Sharing these talents is sharing a creative craft. Sharing our talents at nursing homes and children's hospitals provide a special inner reward.
For some, public speaking goes hand-in-hand with writing. An artist can have a creative eye for interior
design. Reupholstery can bring imaginative results to auto, van or motor home interiors. Photography can
follow a path toward studying nature. Some may desire to combine gardening and cooking. Floral arranging
would, of course, fit comfortably with gardening.
If your dream is creating and maintaining an enchanted flower garden, begin with some preliminaries. Do you
have a mental picture of what you desire to create? Put it in writing and draw a sketch of the plot, what will go
where, what colors you will use. Begin small. Talk with a nursery expert, explaining what you desire to create.
Show them your notes and diagram. They will freely offer suggestions to help you begin your walk into the
garden of your dreams.
Having an ideal space for creativity may not seem possible. It is and we can create it. Depending on the requirements, even a closet can even be converted. What about an unused room on another level, in the basement or attic? A guest bedroom? Once we determine our heartthrob, the space required will begin fashioning itself into a corner, on a table, or in a special room. Sit quietly and visualize what will be most attractive for you to continue working in this space. Dream! Begin small, if necessary. Maybe it is just clearing surroundings that don't belong there in the outset. Continue dreaming and focusing on this ideal.
Does your home accommodate and encourage you to live your desired lifestyle? Do the architecture and furnishings give you free time to pursue your dream? If you have to keep emptying buckets of water each time it rains, it might be wise to get the roof fixed as part of your preparation. Does your kitchen accommodate your preferences? Pursuing your dream may not allow time to work with the necessaries your home might demand. Target these requirements and put them in their place.
Do you prefer having a large garden and yard? Or is that too much bother? Would a hot tub or whirlpool garden tub add luxury that puts a good finale on a vigorous exercise workout at the gym or in the garden?
Maybe following your dream is something as creative as redecorating your home. Begin focusing on your project by perusing various magazine and room pictures. Pick out all of your preferences. Soon, you will see a lifestyle preference that has similarity in the pictures. It may be eclectic but there will be a slant of preference. Look around your existing home. What do you have that does not fit this preferred design? Remove those objects that do not enhance the style you prefer. By creating these open spaces, you can begin furnishings with the design you prefer.
Candles add a lovely mood to any lifestyle. Making your own can add your handprint to the design in your home. There are myriad books available for creating from the very simple to the very intricate styles of candles. This can also develop into a craft for financial income.
