In Honor for Mother's Day

To My Mother

I am positive I love you,

Do you sense a new atmosphere of enthusiasm? Evening stargazing since the planet alignment brings such a sense of peace. It opens the channel for enthusiasm in whatever is happening in the moment.

We have the choice of how to invest each moment: favorable or less-favorable. Staying aware is the key. We can attain awareness simply through practice. Whatever method works for you to do this, continue using it!

To repeat myself, but for emphasis, it all has to do with attitude. Are there areas where we are not satisfied with our attitude? It is simply a matter of deciding to change. As Tony Robbins says, making the decision is the important step. Once that is done, the rest can fall into place.

Awareness must continue to reign to show us where our focus lies. This takes us back to our attitude and the choices we make.

Once we are living within our preferred attitudes and realize how easy it is to do, it provides astonishment to realize or understand why anyone would choose anything less favorable.

Enthusiasm is the spice of life!

The following two excerpts are from the book, "Dance With the Wind," by Dusty Reed:

"Standing on a plateau, seeing many miles in all directions, I hear the ringing of silence in my ears. The ever so soft touch of a breeze whispers. I hear it. 'Listen!'"

I can observe. I can acknowledge the effects. I can find and build on the Goodness.

How can I break away from the confinements of obligations? Frequently, commitments tie me to activities or tease and cajole to keep me from enjoying nature's gift.

I begin by stepping out to my porch for a five minute only get away. I relax a bit by taking some deep breaths and enjoying our cat, who insists on lap sitting when I do take time.

I take another step by getting out to walk around our yard and around the house to observe the flowers and shrubbery. Sometimes, I get a hint that there are some pixies and elves hiding in the foliage.

Still another step, or a combination of steps, takes me around the block, observing the variety of trees and interesting contrasts of neighbors' yards. I commune with a tree, offering gratitude for its strength, beauty and the shade it provides.

Another short outing takes me to an open area, where I can feel the breeze. A few quiet moments can offer myriad sensations, which often provide a joyful and peaceful lift.

The first color in Spring is as a breath of fresh air as flowers begin to peek up and say hello. I enjoy greeting each new flower as it displays its array of beauty. Especially intriguing are those who sneak up around the edge of a stone. The offer a delightful surprise and are often loners. They offer expression, it seems, simply to bring the observer a touch of pleasure. We commune in gratitude for one another, for life.

I sit quietly to envision tree pixies, faeries, and elves dancing through the greenery of nature. They are a part of the wholeness. They teach peace and harmony.

Have you observed a mischievous tree elf waving at you with a leaf when there is not a breeze stirring? Have you gotten a glimpse of the elves playing hide and seek through the mossy undergrowth of the woods behind a Lady Slipper or Lily of the Valley? Have you laughed with the dancing faeries as they glisten across the lake when the sun touches their gossamer gowns?
