Hi Everyone. I have updated some of the information. I had to move things around and plan to add more family pictures. My scanner will not hook up to this computer so It will be a while before you see mew pictures. I will do this so you can copy them if you wish rather than e-mailing me and asking for copies. My proudest accomplishments are not finding all the information about ancesters and plublishing it on the internet. My proudest accomplishments are connecting a elderly lady with her relatives. She was born in 1918, her mother died in 1921, her father remarried, she did not know the woman who raised her was not her mother until her father passed away. When going thru his belongings she discovered that her mother died in Texas in 1921 and had a picture and names and some dates. She e-mailed me and asked if I knew anything about her family and told me the story. I did what was not acceptable. I pretended to be this lady but used her valid e-mail address in the posts. I put her information on the internet at a couple sites. One of the sites I used was http://genforum.genealogy.com. I listed her post under family names and some different locations she gave me. About two weeks later she sent a e-mail and told me she had been contacted by a first cousin and he had sent her the family information about her family. She said she was going meet him and her other relatives in a few weeks. That really made my day. Other things make me happy also like getting a e-mail from a distant cousin or my finding my greatgrandmothers niece that no one knew about. She was really surprised when I showed up on her door step. She is only about 70 years young, her father was born May, 1870. I also was contacted by a John Wilcox who served in 2 war. He was from England and wrote many e-mails telling of his service as a aircraft spotter in London. He told me his family name was Willclocks but it got wrote down wrong by the recorder of births so from there on he was known as Wilcox. If you have a interesting story, I would love to hear it. Some dishearting things I have heard are about my posting my Walmart story. Another thing that pisses me off is when distant cousins who wanted information and pictures and do not return the favor. Hey people this is a two way street. If you copy pictures and information please tell me about your family. I heard from a lady who is not relation but she sent me information about my g-g-grandfathers sister. Very kind of her but I have yet to hear from several of my grandfathers brothers and sisters descendants. I need a GOOD picture of Steve Hicks, he is John Ed Hicks father. I have a picture of Steve's wife Annie which I have posted. If you have a good picture of any of the old family members please e-mail it to me. Thanks
