November 26, 1944-The Nara is commissioned and joins Destroyer Squadron 11 for training operations.
March 15, 1945-The Nara is assigned to Destroyer Division 53, Destroyer Squadron 11.
April 1, 1945-The Nara is temporarily reassigned to the Second Fleet.
April 20, 1945-The Nara is reassigned to the Combined Fleet.
June 30, 1945-The Nara receives massive damage as a result of striking a mine six miles off Shimonoseki, and is left without any engine power and unable to move.
July 15, 1945-The Nara is stripped of armament and towed to Moji to be surrendered at the end of the war.
July 1948-The Nara is scrapped at Shimonoseki.
