Flugzeugträger B
1938-The keel of Flugzeugträger "B" (Aircraft Carrier "B") is laid down in the Germaniawerft shipyards of Kiel. The most likely consideration for the carrier's future name was Peter Strasser, but the ship wouldn't be given this name, although historians use this as the official designation, instead of the actual hull designation of Flugzeugträger "B".
March 26, 1940-The construction of Flugzeugträger "B" is halted, the project is cancelled, and the materials used were transferred to other naval construction projects.
