A Little About Me

As you can tell from this site, I really love to fish! My father got me started fishing when I was very young, then I got busy with other things and lost interest for about 15 years. Since I have gotten back into it, it really has become a great enjoyment to me! And now that I have a little boy that loves it also, it's even more fun! I have been fishing now for about 20 years. My favorite fishing spots are Lake Okoboji in northern Iowa, Blackhawk Lake in north central Iowa, Lake Oahe in South Dakota, and Lake of the Woods in Minnesota. I am also a big advocate of the "catch and release" program, and muskies are among my favorite fish to catch.

Personally, I am 40 years old, and am a recovering alcoholic/addict. I feel God has helped me to pull my life together in the last 15 years, and fishing has become my "release" now! My priorities now are my family, my faith, staying sober, financial security, and fishing - in that order! Check out the stock market page off the index of this site!

My wife, Jane, and I have two children together - my son Mark will be six in May of 2000, and our new baby daughter Laura is about 6 months old. I also have three stepchildren, Carrie who is 22 and was married April 8, 2000, Nathan, age 21, and Grant, age 17. I work at a transportation brokerage called CTS (www.moveit.com) and really enjoy the challenge of that!!
