As part of this camp, girls attending the camp could try out for a spot on the All-American cheerleader squad. Those girls selected could then get a special invitation to participate in a performance of a lifetime!

Hempstead High School had a number of girls selected who had an opportunity to travel to London with other top cheerleaders from around the country and perform in the London New Year’s Day Parade.

Our team left for London the day after Christmas. Once they arrived in London, they saw amazing sites including Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, the House of Parliament, the British Museum, and Windsor Castle.

The highlight of course being the opportunity to perform in the New Year's Day parade with approximately 800 other All-American cheerleaders from across the country.

Not only did they perform in front of thousands on the streets of London, but the event was televised for millions of onlookers.
