Iowa DOT Commercial Vehicle Enforcement generally enforce motor vehicles laws on reciprocity commercial haulers. However, they are often on Iowa highways and interstates and respond to varying emergencies. CVE officers attend the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and have state-wide jurisdiction.
