Camden Park Mound

The Camen Park Mound, a conical mound perhaps 20’ high, is located near the center of the Camden Amusement Park, just west of Huntington, West Virginia. This feature is located on the Ohio River floodplain; its shape, size and location it is an Adena burial mound. This mound is fenced.

Directions: Take exit 6 from interstate 64 onto U.S. 52. The first right ramp onto Madison Avenue leads to the front gate of the park. Parking is available inside the park.

Public use: season and hours: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm Sunday through Friday. 10:00 am through 11:00 pm on staurday last week in April through Labor Day. Open weekends only in April and September.
Fees: Admission to the park is $0.25.
