Reynolds Mound

This feature is approximately 16’ high and is probably an Adena burial mound. This mound is located immediately southeast of West Virginia route2; it is mowed, readily visible, and stands as sentinel at the entrance to a residential area.

Directions: Follow West Virginia route2 NE from the St. Mary’s-Newport bridge for 2.9 miles. The mound is on the SE side of the road. A residential street, Mound Manor loops around the mound.
