Tiltonsville Cemetery Mound

The Tiltonsville , or Hodgen’s, cemetery mound is located on Arn Avenue, about 1,000’ west of the Ohio River. This conical mound is 13’ high and 80’ in basal diameter. This mound is unusual in that it is located on the floodplain of the Ohio; normally Adena mounds are located on upland sites.

Directions: Exit Ohio route 7 at Tiltonsville-Farn Lane, go .15 miles E to Walden Street (old Ohio route 7), then N on Walden .1 mile to Arn Avenue, then E on Arn Avenue 250’. The cemetery is on S side of Arn Avenue.
