Wright Brothers Mound

The 6 Adena mounds that constitute the Wright Brothers Mound group are located near the western and northern edges of a hilltop immediately west of the Wright Brothers Memorial. These mounds vary from 1.7’ high and 20’ in diameter to 4.2’ high and 50’ in diameter. These mounds represent one of the finer clusters of Adena mounds that remain.

Directions: Exit Ohio route 444 onto Kauffman Road eastbound, go .15 miles E on Kauffman Rd., then about 250’ S on M Street to gate 15B. Entrance to Wright Brothers Memorial is to the W of the gate 15B. The mounds are beyond the end of the memorial drive.
