Domestic Violence is...
An ongoing pattern of abusive behaviors that occurs in intimate relationships, both dating and marital, and is used to control one's partner. The violence is often in the form of physical injury, but also includes threats, isolation, sexual assault, and emotional abuse.
Abusive Behaviors May Include: Pushing, shoving, hitting, choking, kicking, injuring pets or property Accusations, name calling, put-downs, and other verbal abuse Threats against you or your children, threatening to harm himself Controling all money, not allowing you to work outside the home Not allowing you to associate with certain people Deprivation of transportation Forcing you to have sex and/or violence during sexual intercourse.
