What a way to start a day. The beginning of a double header!!
To start out the hot sweaty day Manny and Donnie both drew heat 6. Donnie and Old Faithful put on a heck of a show today. They took 1st place in the heat winning them a spot in the A-main.
Manny didn't win a spot in the top 3 but he did come back in the consulation race to keep us all on the edge of our seat.
He got a quick jump in 1st place, when he lost a tire with a lap and a half to go. He was able to take the white flag in the 1st place position but lost momentum finishing the race on 3 tires.
The A-main was quite exciting. A track full of fast cars and talent. But Donnie was able to take the first place position winning the A-main... Congrats Donnie..
Donnie wished his mom could have been there. It was an exciting win, and we are sure she would have had tears of joy in her eyes watching her son win the feature race of the afternoon.
A Big applaud goes to car 32J in the 1st consulation race who took a roll to his top and crawled out unharmed.
Donnie wasn't the only excitement in the A-main. Car #61C had us all waiting in anticipation as he crawled out of his car unharmed after rolling twice, and finally coming to a stop on the drivers door over the top of the guard rail.
