MY TWO CENTS!

Well last race of the season and what a great race it was....but before I go into all the winners of the day,

I want to say the true winner today is Matt Zylstra and his wife...Matt pulled out of his heat to make a dash for the hospital where they are now the proud parents of a bouncing baby girl....

Congrats Mr and Mrs Zylstra.

Also... happy second anniversary to Mitch Grummitt and his Wife.. I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate an anniversary than at the figure 8 track......as a matter of fact.....

we did.. our anniversary was the 26th of September....we celebrated the next night at the track.

OK now lets get to the nitty gritty and the dust flying events of the day..

You really couldn't have asked for a better day for racing. The temp. was great the sun was shining the track seemed to be not to dry, but a little bumpy in the turns..

Once again time to report the mishaps. Car 93 took a complete roll in the 4th heat and crawled out unharmed, then a veteran to the area car 24 took a complete roll in the 5th heat, after that the drivers did not follow the lead of there fellow racers, the rest stayed on all 4 tires to make great entertainment for the rest of the day.

I have been watching the message board lately, and I see a lot of comments about pushing/cheating and so on.. and I know that it is hard to over look something when it is your friend or team member being bumped pushed and etc..but something I have noticed as a 3rd eye, meaning I have no favorites. I see, hard driving, talented drivers in every heat, and every race. At one race I see this car pushing and at another race a differant car.....but most of all what I see in the pits is how all these drivers treat each other, they compete on the field and lend a hand when a driver needs a little help...Car 4 lent car 77X a driver from Adel tracks, a rear axel so he could continue to race...and that is what makes our circuit of figure 8 so special.... don't ever lose that......when you do...you will take the fun out of the sport, not for the fans..but for yourself.

I have seen drivers blow off steam or lose their temper in the pits, and come to the message board to appologize, again.........that is what makes you all so special..

I can't wait for next year!! Don't forget about me over the off season, come to the message board once in a while even if it is just to say hey.
