COMPUTERS I
Grades 9-12 |
Computers is designed to familiarize the student with the common applications
of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and graphics using AppleWorks
integrated software. The goal of this course is to encourage and facilitate
the use of the microcomputer in the student's daily life.
Prerequisite: Keyboarding or proficiency (minimum 20 wpm with 90% accuracy) |
COMPUTERS II
Grades 9-12 |
Multimedia is the emphasis of Computers II. Techniques for desktop
publishing are taught using AppleWorks frame links. Students learn how
to use CD-ROMs, digital cameras, digital camcorders, and scanners. Multimedia
projects are completed using HyperStudio, AppleWorks Slide Show and iMovie.

COMPUTERS III
Grades 9-12 |
Computers III is a service driven course where students will learn how
to update the Marquette Catholic School System web page, produce programs/flyers
for school functions, print academic and athletic award certificates, clean
computers, organize the computer desktop and install software. Desktop
publishing with PageMaker is taught if time allows.
