Congrats Matt.... a great race!! I appologize for a bad photo, I will have to either dig into my archives or catch up with you at another track for a better picture.

I caught up with Matt after tonights race and was able to ask him a few questions. My first question to Matt was: How long have you been racing? Matt informed me he has been racing for better than 10 years. He started out in stock cars for 5 or 6 years and moved to figure 8.

My next question was: Did you think tonights A-Main was a tough race? Matts responce was: He felt that it was a tough track tonight, all though he also felt he was up against a lot of talent tonight.

I asked Matt, what inspired him to race? He said: His parents, His dad built race cars for other drivers, and at 16 the fascination of the sport put Matt in the drivers seat.

I asked Matt if there was a reason behind his number, he told me: All the cars his Dad built were numbered, 9... so he went with 9Z for that reason.

My final question for Matt was, Do you have any words of wisdom to other drivers: Matt with out hesitation said.... Be patient... the best thing to do is keep your patience. And of course a lot of luck.

Great racing Matt!!! We look forward to a great year.
