Caolts at Titans

Both The Colts and The Titans played a foolish last minute drive, nevertheless The Colts Defense prevailed!

With The Colts on top 22 to 20 at the two minute warning of The Game, one would think it's an easy win, simply use Addai to run the ball and at the same time run down the clock. Manning had another alternative. Manning decided to pass the ball, twice. Twice he threw incomplete. Manning appeared to go again for a pass as he was sacked instead and Colts ended up having to punt. Turning over the ball to the Titans with way more than enough time to execute and score for the winning touchdown or even a field goal, as what the development looked to be as Titans drove down the field. With the Titans sitting on The Colts 45 yard line and 25 seconds left in the game, Vince Young threw 2 incomplete passes to Jones. Fourth down and 15 seconds left in the game, one would think it's an easy win, simply bring out Bironas, who won the game last year in 2006 with a 60 yard field goal. Fisher had another alternative. "Anytime the ball's in Vince Young's hands, everyone feels like we're going to win the game," Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch said. "We were just waiting for something magical to happen."

HUH! NO MAGIC HERE, CURSED MORE LIKE IT,
The curse of Bob Sanders and Dwight Freeney and a whole flock of other Colts Defensive Players!!!

With 15 seconds left on 4th down and 4 to go for a first, Titans went for it as they were instantaneously swarmed by The Colts Defense. Defensive tackle Darrel Reid crashed into the backfield. Left end Josh Thomas pushed hard. Young was in trouble, as he was engulfed by Colts Defensive Players he searched frantically for an option. He tried at first to run,  Middle linebacker Gary Brackett knifed in and clamped his legs; when trapped, Young lateraled desperately to left guard Jacob Bell as the play got even wilder . . .

. . . Linebacker Tyjuan Hagler flew at Jacob Bell, who in turn panicked, bobbled and pitched to . . .

. . .to Colts' Left Tackle, Darryl Reid.

Reid had the football at the Tennessee 38.

The clock read 0:04.

GAME OVER!

For a 22-20 victory in front of a raucous 69,143 crowd at LP Field as The Defending Champion Indianapolis Colts (2-0) reminded Tennessee which team remains atop the AFC South.
