All photos come from a trip I took in early April of 2002. Spring is the best time to go because everything is green and it's not too hot. On this day, it was a comfy 75 degrees, almost windless, cloudless, and perfect lighting, not to mention all the trains I could ask for. Almost all of the trains I saw on this day were BNSF.
The first train I see has all Warbonnets!
I started at the Loop and chased it down to Caliente.
And another Warbonnet on the rear...
These were the only SP units I saw actually running the entire day. I wish they weren't patched!
Can anyone tell me what these are? There were about 5 identical cars like this.
