Happy 4th of July everyone!!! Tonight wasn't just a hot night on the thermometer, it was a hot night on the track as well.
Team wild child had a real hot night!! Manny drew heat 2 where he got a great jump to finish 2nd winning a spot in the B-main. Congrats to Manny on this great accomplishment. This was Mannys first main and I am willing bet he was shaking with excitement.
After an encounter with the center embankment Mannys car lost a tyrod putting him out of the race.
Donnie was totally on fire tonight. Heat 2 is where Donnie put on a show. He was quick to jump to the lead and battled to keep it. He kept his fire going right to the checkered flag taking first place in his heat winning a spot in the A-main.
In the A-main Donnie had a great position. He was able to quickly jump to the 3rd place position before losing ground due to mechanical troubles. He ended up in 5th place. Still showing a great race.
Tonight we had a very safe show of talent. Very few roll overs to talk about. A special thank you to the grounds crew for keeping the track in great/safe condition.
Hats off to car #17t who took a roll over in the B-main. Also to the very brave driver of car #17 in the powder puff who also took a roll.
We can not forget the great job that the What Cheer fire department did entertaining everyone this year as they do every year with a great fire works show following the race. Thank you guys.
