About Me

Who Am I?

To explain who I am, who Dhin is, is a difficult thing.

I grew up in the Western United States and as I was attending college I met a Norwegian girl and a year later was married to her. I now have a Degree in Computer Science and work as a 3d Modeler for a research company in Norway. I do free-lance animation and movie making in my spare time. As well as game level designing and modification. My Favorite game title is Thief. Since '99 I've been using the Game editor for Thief and developing a Fan Mission Series for that game. It may never be finished, but it is a creative outlet for me. As for what I want to do when I "grow up," I want to go into movie or gaming animation and modeling. I'm half way there. Though I may never totally realize that dream I have come further than most people would have believed possible of me. . . I'd like to thank you people for the lack of support, with out your discouragement I wouldn't of had any goals to shot for.

Dhin came from an idea back when I was in the 9th grade in my geometry class. I was doodling instead of taking notes and Anna Street, a girl that sat next to me, ask me what Dhin was. I think that she thought she had missed something from class, I had just doodled the word and from her question came an idea. That was 1990. Dhin was born a few weeks later. Conceptually he has changed a great deal from his beginnings. Dhin has become my digital extinction of self, but in no way is Dhin any thing like me. . . For one Dhin isn't even human.

Dhin was spawned from a RPG under the Platium system. The game was a modified version of TMNT (Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Dhin was a generically developed Dragon (mix 1 part mutigen with 2 parts Bat and 2 parts Komodo Dragon.) He was my most successful character and after he became too powerful for my liking I gave him over to the GM to be an NPC. Dhin has since been changes into an "Enlightened" Deamon - The Lord of Blades and Anguish for the goddess of Death Kirsha and a 3d character in an animated short I am working on. (Just wait and see me at the Oscars when I finish it.) You may ask why a 12 year old RPC has become my digital self. You wouldn't be out of line to wonder. Like I said he was my most successful character, and the name just seemed to work well. Plus it was the only thing that came to mind when I began to use hotmail.

I am so much more that what I used to be, I've already proven myself, I don't need any one else's validation. I am a power of self and free from bonds.

I am Dhin.
