Councillor Christian has submitted the following Notice of Motion -

"1 Following a meeting between Stanwell Park residents, Ward Councillors, Sydney Water officials, and representatives from Sydney Water Corporate Customer Council on 16 August 2002 regarding the location of sewerage pumping infrastructure at Stanwell Park on Council open space/parks/community land, that a meeting be convened between Sydney Water officials, representatives from the Stanwell Park community and Wollongong City Council representatives, as a matter of urgency - noting the agreement of Sydney Water representatives and Stanwell Park community representatives to the holding of such a meeting, to examine alternative siting options - covering advantages and disadvantages of the various proposed sites.

2 Sydney Water be requested to provide information on the infrastructure capacity proposed to be supplied as part of the Northern Towns Sewerage Project - and its potential implications for revisiting urban rezoning proposals within the Helensburgh environs, in terms of Wollongong City Council's proposed Helensburgh Environmental Management Plan, the 1994 Commission of Inquiry into Land Use around Helensburgh, impact on the integrity of the Royal National Park, implications of bushfire risk exposure of Council, implications of increased siltation and need for further dredging on the downstream Port Hacking - with its consequent effect on the seagrass meadows which provide fish stock nurseries for the region."
