Dave Martin and I, your Ward One Councillors, are seeking your views on how Council should prioritise its Section 94 community facilities spending for community facilities in the area from Austinmer to Stanwell Park.
Currently the priority is for the northern footpath, ie the cliff edge footpath from Austinmer to Scarborough, as well as a district park.
Council staff propose to amend this to spending on Rex Jackson Park Helensburgh and Stanwell Park Recreation Park, ie money being put aside for Austinmer to Stanwell Park being instead diverted to Helensburgh.
These proposed changes in priority are currently open for public comment, ie from 28/2/1996 until 27/3/1996 as part of the proposed Amendments to Council's overall Section 94 Contribution Plan No.1 for Open Space Embellishment, Community & Recreation Facilities. There was an advertisement in Council's weekly page in the Advertiser on 28/2/1996.
