Hey hey! Well as most of you know, we just went to an *N SYNC concert and sat in the FRONT ROW!! Now now..calm down cause we’re gonna share the love and tell y’all about it! First of all, we would just like to say that the face painting madness has to stop now! Justin will not marry you because you have “I love Justin” painted on your blindingly white arms in the back row okay?? Alright here we go!!
********************************************************************* The day before the concert finally came and we got in the car to drive to Boise..(another piece of advice…if your mom is taking you to the concert, you’re probably too young for *N SYNC anyway, whatcha think about that??) Anyway when we got to Boise and after checking into our hotel we decided to go shopping. This is the part of the trip that we want to rewind SOO bad…we walked by this cheap salon, like Dollar Cuts or something, and we saw a guy getting his dreads redone. Jokingly, we were like “Oh that was Chris in there” , but we really didn’t think that it was him because we had been imagining scrawny little boys as Joey all day long, so we kept on walking. Yeah, well when we went to Musicland the cashier told us that Chris had just been in the store and was going to get his hair done downstairs. We ran like no other, but the Chrismeister had already left.
So after dinner at the Olive Garden, we decided to find *N SYNC’s hotel like any other crazy fan would. We had no idea where to start since neither one of us are familiar with the Boise area, so when we heard a DJ on Magic 93.1 talking about *N SYNC and that he knew where they were staying because he had just talked to their manager, we knew that we had to call him. (Good thing that we did because he also told us about the after-concert party that *N SYNC would make an appearance at and where to get tickets). So while Lindsey was driving trying not to get in a wreck while looking in the parking lots of countless hotels, Jeanine was calling the station. After an hour of talking to him and horrible clues and directions, the DJ who shall remain nameless finally gave in and told us that our boys were staying at the Grove Hotel. So like 12 year old fans we drove to the hotel, took pictures of the four busses and went inside and took the elevator up to the top floor and walked around, not really knowing what to do. Then we saw a chick with a tray with five (yes 5!!) drinks on it and we were like “Oh my gosh…it HAS to be for them!!”. So after she delivered them to room 1233 we walked down there and stood outside the door…we definitely heard Justin’s Tennessee laugh inside. Finally, we decided that we were verging on stalking and we didn’t want the boys to hate us before they even met us. So we went outside to leave. We parked right next to their busses, so when we came out their bus drivers started talking to us and asking us if we wanted to help them wash their busses...(we didn’t, but we would have gladly offered to clean the inside!!) Anyway, these nappy, bucktoothed guys (one of them was called “Big Dog”…enough said) were soo drunk and they asked us if we would have sex with them and in exchange we could meet *N SYNC. Now we would do almost anything for our boys, but sleeping with trailer trash is where we draw the line. Since it was past midnight and we were on a dark street, we decided that it was time to get out of there.
The next morning we woke up at five to make it to the radio station to pick up some tickets to the after party. We were the first people there, but shortly after we arrived a TON of girls showed up. While waiting for the station to open, we decided to call the Grove Hotel on our cell phone. We asked the front desk to connect us to room 1233. After ringing for like ever, a groggy Joey answered the phone. We asked “Jess” what time she wanted to meet us for breakfast and Joey answered that we had the wrong room and hung up. When the station finally opened, we got the last two tickets…honestly!! Since we had the entire day ahead of us…we went back to our hotel room to sleep, went shopping (we’re ashamed to say that we bought the 40”*60” posters…but we recommend them to y’all cause you feel like they are in your room with you), and finally it was time to get ready and head out to the Idaho Center.
Alright now…before we get to the best part, we just have a few complaints:
1) Those of you that arrive at the venue HOURS before the concert…why? We promise that Justin and Lance won’t just be wandering around in search of a future wife that’s too young to even wear make-up yet.
2) Speaking of make-up…please leave the face painting to Lance!! We saw one to many flabby stomachs with “I want to have Joey’s baby!” written on them.
3) Do you really think that because front row seats are empty, no one is going to show up to claim them?? We had to kick out a few junior high pizza face, frizzy hair, metal mouth fatties.
4) Girls, there is no need to talk to the security…they work at the venue, NOT for *N SYNC.
As soon as we sat down, a reporter came to ask us some questions. We were in the Boise Statesman saying that we aren’t crazy fans and we know that we won’t marry them or anything. Just think…JC read that over his morning cup of coffee!! On to the concert….first Blaque opened. These girls are so adorable and talented! When we touched Shamira , that’s when we knew that we would touch *N SYNC. One of their hot dancers came over and did a strip tease for us and gave us his shirt. Next was Tatyana Ali..she is so cute! Alright alright on to the boys!!
They opened with a freaky Stars Wars wannabe clip…JC musta been behind that! Within in the first 5 minutes, Justin came over and sang to Lindsey while holding her hand. We touched all of them ( even Lance!!) and they are such amazing performers and they put their heart into it all. The highlight was when Joey sat on the edge of the stage to sing to Jeanine and Lindsey was brave enough to stoke his inner thigh..WOW! The Phat-One enjoyed that! The concert was sooo great and we couldn’t have asked for much better!
We thought that the after party would be the best…we were sorely mistaken! While going into the club, the mob of girls offered us $150 each for our tickets…we should have taken it! As soon as we got in, we saw Lance surrounded by girls and security playing video games…we quickly moved on! Once we got onto the dance floor, we could not believe that the girls were just huddled around the stage that the boys were dancing on. The guys were mad that the focus was on them and no one was dancing. We shoved our way to the front of the mob and Lindsey yelled “They’re not f*%@ing animals!!” and Chris turned and winked and smiled at her…he was proud! We left early because it was such a disappointment.
The concert was sooo fabuloso and the fact that we got the front row seats for so cheap made it worth it! We definitely recommend you to spend any price for them!!
