Meet Smokey, he's my Wolf Mascot and Protector of these pages.
Wolf's Cry
That lonely wolf cries out...
with a howl that can be heard for miles
around.
As he looks up into the Heavens,
The moons light catches
The steamy breath coming from
his mouth.
His ice blue eyes filled with discontent.
The winds of change blow hard
Against his thick gray fur.
His howling at times
Sounds more like yelping.
As if his heart is
crying out
For the pain to stop eating away at his soul.
As the wolf looks to the left and then to
the right,
He see's what he
already knew,
But was afraid to ask in his darkest hour.
He is alone,but wait.
The wolf remembers...
He remembers the wind
And how the wind was blowing against him
And yet always with the grain of his fur.
As if the wind was trying to tell him
something.
Something with a
meaning.
A sign.
For the wolf noticed that although
The wind blew hard against him,
It never harmed or was threatening.
As if the winds of change
Were only sending a message of hope.
Hope that the wolf would realize
That he was not alone.
That the wind felt the same kind of lonesome as the
wolf.
The bond the wind and the wolf share
will forever be known on any
given mountain top,
When the quietness of a moonlit night
Is serenaded with an eerie howling
Carried for miles by
The winds of change.

~~A Wolves Bond~~
As the moon casts a blue tint on the rugged terrain
That our paws gracefully run on top of,
We come upon a pond in the clearing.
As we get closer to the waters edge
The moons light reflects in the water our true selves.
As we both gaze at the mirror put before us,
We realize we're just 2 wolves in a vast land that time forgot.
We both neither care what others think of us
Or about being the fastest when others are seeking justice.
We realize the chances we've taken
And the hardships we've endured.
Yet here we are alone together
On this still and silent night.
Fur touching fur, side by side...
As if even letting a glimmer of light come between us
Would cause to much pain.
For wolves are deeply loyal souls & will fight to the death
When being threatened by any type of separation.
The owl in the tree watches us closely.
As if his envy of the wolf is magnified by the way I’m guarding my
mate.
For I am watching the owl too.
For the wolf trusts nothing that has not shown loyalty
Or dedication to champion his cause.
For he is the protector.
The one his mate walks beside instead of behind.
So as the 2 wolves turn around & go back into the dark forest
To rest their bodies for the night,
The moon dims its light and the pond goes dark.
