Italian Lyrics

My country is very close to Italy, and many people in my country speak italian (in fact a great percetage of people in my country speak more than two foreign languages)so I started to understand Italian since I was little. It has been almost three years since the last time that I spoke Italian, and I have forgotten and I miss it very much, so I chose this site from geocities because here you can find lyrics from Italian artists which I love such as Eros Ramazzotti, Ambra Angiolini, Ivana Spagna, etc...

Spanish Lyrics

What is that makes spanish music so wonderful, could it be just the rythm? I think part of that wonderfulness are the lyrics in spanish songs. Unfourtunatly I understand spanish very little, from my italian, but I know that listening to spanish songs, and reading spanish lyrics not only gives me satisfaction but also helps me improve my spanish. Here is a site that will bring in your computer screen many songs from wonderful latin singers, enjoy.

for those who do, no explanation is necessary'

I know mine would have taught thy heart to show
more pity unto me: but love, alas,
at one first blow did shiver it as glass.'

John Donne

'But we will have a way more liberal ,
than changing hearts, to join them,
so we shall, be one, and one another's all.'

John Donne

Knock there, and ask your heart
what it doth know.'

William Shakespeare

‘You are my sympathy - my better self - my good angel.
I am bound to you with a strong attachment.
I think of you good, gifted, lovely:
a fervent, a solemn passion is conceived in my heart;
it leans to you, draws you to my centre and spring of life, wraps my existence about you-
and, kindling in pure, powerful flame, fuses you and me in one.

Charlotte Bronte

'In that secret space of time,
I will kiss the inside of your smile.
Not with my mouth, but through my heart,
as we share a journey to the stars.'

Christina Crawford

'We know things better through love
than through knowledge'
Umberto Eco

'All the knowledge I possess
everyone else can acquire
but my heart is all my own. '

Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

'Alas my heart is a lute.
whereon you have learned to play!
For many years it was mute,
until one summer day
you took it, and touched it, and
made it thrill
And it thrills and throbs and
quivers still!'

Anne Lindsay

'My heart does not wish to be in a mending situation.
Love is heart-breaking and I am in love!'

Rachel Billington

'Only where the heart is
can the treasure be found.'

James Barrie

He had smiled the word away.
"You can't well intrude,
my darling, on a heart
where you 've already
established yourself to the
complete exclusion of other lodgers."'

Edith Wharton

'If you haven't had at least
a slight poetic crack in the heart,
you have been cheated by nature. '

Phyllis Battelle

' Where heart, and soul, and sense,
in concert move,
And the blood's lava,
and the pulse a blaze,
Each kiss a heart-quake.'

George Gordon, Lord Byron

The more we express them, the more
We may have to express.’

I found the little essay about the friendship (underneath this note) at one of the angel links that I visited, and I think it is very inspiring. I have read many poems, and essays about friendship, but the person who wrote these simple lines really knew the definition of friendship in every corner of the world. I dedicate this to my friend in Albania, Edlira. I miss you ELI!
Love Aida

Friendship Is........

Friendship is a strange thing....
we find ourselves telling each other the deepest details of our lives...things we don't even share with our families who raised us...
But what is a friend? A confidant? A lover? A fellow email junkie? A shoulder to cry on? An ear to listen? A heart to feel?...
A friend is all these things...and more. No matter where we met,....I call you friend.
A word so small...yet so large in feeling...a word filled with emotion. It is true great things come in small packages.
Once the package of friendship has been opened, it can never be closed...
it is a constant book always written...waiting to be read...and enjoyed.
We may have our disagreements...we may argue...we may concern one another...
friendship is a unique bond that lasts through it all....
A part of me is put into my friends...some it is my humor...some it is my listening ear...
some it is real life experiences...some it is my romanticism...but with all, it is friendship.
Friendships forged are a construct stronger than steel built as a foundation....
necessary for life...and necessary for love.
Friends, you and me....
you brought another friend... and then there were 3...
we started our group... Our circle of friends... and like that circle...
there is no beginning or end..........
