this takes place in the OAV reality just after the rescue of Ryoko from DR. Clay and her assimilation with Zero and will quickly become an alternate reality.

Tenchi Muyo: Wings of the Light Hawk Part 1

Tenchi sighed he was working in the carrot fields but he was worried about Ryoko they had a celebration last night and she hadn't shown up his thoughts then turned to Ayeka and the morning.

That morning

Tenchi came down stairs to see Ayeka and Mihoshi drinking saki and from the looks of Ayeka she was already plastered nervously avoided the two knowing Ayeka was nearly as bad as Ryoko when drunk so he headed into the kitchen where Sasami had his breakfast sitting on the counter. "What are those two drinking about" he asked "Mihoshi got word that her partner Kiyone was found and is on her way to Earth so she grabbed Ayeka to help her celebrate"

Tenchi quickly returned to work in the carrot fields when hands grabbed him from behind and pulled him into blackness. He landed on the ground then before he could speak Washu slammed her hand over his mouth and motioned for him to be quite he complied she pointed to an edge he looked over to find he was on top of the cave Ryoko had been imprisoned in and that she was siting and its opening looking out wistfully towards the area he used to play in. Tenchi was shocked this wasn't the behavior he normally associated with Ryoko he wondered if it had anything to do with the fusion with Zero he started to ask Washu when he noticed a large sign had appeared behind her that said "Watch Here comes Ayeka"

Ayeka walked up and saw Ryoko "Monster what have you done with Tenchi" "Huh what do you want Ayeka Tenchi is probably in the Carrot field" "Don't play innocent with me demon he isn't there" "Well he isn't here" Ryoko shot back "Why are you looking for him anyway Ayeka trying to seduce my Tenchi" "I am looking for him because I want to and unlike you I see him as more than a play toy" "How Dare you" Ryoko began but was cut off by Ayeka's Laugh "Miss Ryoko it is obvious why you want Tenchi because he is to good for you so you want him as a play toy you don't really care about him at all." Ayeka laughed again but was cut off as she was slapped hard by Ryoko "Damn you Ayeka I care more about Tenchi then anyone else, I watched him grow up from a baby into the man I love and you have the nerve to say I don't care about him if it wouldn't hurt Tenchi and Sasami I would kill you for even suggesting it I hate you Ayeka" Ryoko then teleported away Ayeka looked after her a moment and fainted fading out before she hit the ground.

Tenchi looked at where Ayeka had been he looked torn between going after Ryoko and seeing what had happened to Ayeka. "Ayeka is back safe and sound in her bed you go find my daughter" Washu commanded Sternly Tenchi jumped down and headed off in search of Ryoko. He was nearing Funaho when Tsunami appeared "She is with Funaho" "huh Tsunami" "Go but don't be to mad at Ayeka she doesn't believe Ryoko really cares about you thus when drunk her tongue is loose and acts on that view" with that Tsunami faded out and Tenchi headed to Funaho.

When he arrived he saw Ryoko sitting on one of the roots cying "Ryoko" "Tenchi go away I don't want you to see me like this" not knowing what else to do Tenchi hugged her she grabbed on to him and cried even harder.

Ayeka woke up threw her still cloudy mind she recalled going to get Tenchi then getting slapped by Ryoko "That demon must of attacked me" she said as she looked at her bruise.

"Ryoko" Tenchi asked when she stopped crying "yes" she asked quietly "Promise you won't hurt Ayeka" "why do you know..." "Yes I heard everything but she was drunk" "So you care more about her than me" Ryoko sounded close to tears again "NO, I don't know what I feel I need time without you two fighting to know what my feeling for the two of you are." Ryoko was silent *he did hold me maybe there is a chance he no longer sees me as the violent one maybe he can love me* "Okay Tenchi I won't hurt Ayeka I give you my word" Tenchi looked at her seriously then she felt the remaining two gems returned to her "What" she said "I'm taking a risk trusting you but I don't think you'll break your promise" "Lets head home" he said "I'll prove I'm worth your trust Tenchi" Ryoko vowed before following him.

"Hey Tenchi what were you doing at the cave anyway" Ryoko asked as they neared the house "Washu grabbed me in the field and dumped me on top of the cave" "Washu did that?" Ryoko asked confused "Yeah then something real strange happened Tsunami showed up and told me where you were and explained about Ayeka" "OH" "She said that Ayeka really doesn't believe you care about anyone but yourself" Ryoko remained silent she was going to keep here word and she was curious of Wahu's motives "Tenchi I'm going to see Washu." with that Ryoko was gone.

"Tenchi thank goodness your home" Ayeka said Tenchi winced when he saw the bruise Ryoko had been really angry Ayeka was lucky she hadn't been hurt worse "That demon witch attacked me" "Ayeka listen I was there I'm guessing you don't remember what happened since I doubt you would lie to me but you said something really cruel to Ryoko and are lucky she didn't hurt you worse since you were drunk I'll forgive it but I don't won't you picking anymore fights with Ryoko okay" "But Tenchi you can't possibly prefer that witch to me" "Ayeka I need time to sort out my feelings about you two Ryoko has already promised not to hurt you and I want the same promise from you" "Allright I won't hurt the demon woman" Ayeka said *of course she won't be able to keep her word and then Tenchi will see her for the demon she is*

"What are you up to Washu" "What my little Ryoko no hello for your mother" "Washu what are you up to?" "What can't a mother help her daughter catch a man?" Washu asked playfully "Washu!" "Allright I'm doing this because I was looking threw some of my memories and I came upon something that made me realize I was never there for you when you needed me I couldn't be there then but I want to be here for you now if you will let me?" Washu asked a small hint of hope clear in her voice.

"Washu I don't know if I can ever forgive you, but I'm willing to try" Ryoko said Washu's face brightened "You mean it Ryoko" "Yes now I want your promise that you won't go after Tenchi anymore" "Of course not anything for you" Washu said happily "Now lets talk" Ryoko said

That night at dinner Washu and Ryoko ate in the lab after Ryoko finally left she popped into Tenchi's room "Tenchi," "What is it Ryoko" he asked used to her visits by now "I have good news Washu and I had a talk and she's going to try to be a good mother" Tenchi looked at her he never thought she actually wanted a mother but then he thought about all that he missed by not having a mother he should have known she would miss that too probably even more because of how her life was. "That's great Ryoko" she hugged him "Goodnight" she said and began to fade out "If I'm going to keep my promise better not give Ayeka a reason to blow her top" with that Ryoko was gone "That was strange" Tenchi said Ryoko concerned about Ayeka getting mad he really didn't know her.

As the weeks went on Tenchi saw more of Ryoko's softer side, she had began to spend time with her mother and after about a month had began to refer to Washu as Mom much to Washu's happiness he also saw Ayeka in a new light she was charming but was going on and on about her parents impending visit and how she couldn't wait to introduce her father to Tenchi

Kiyone's Arrival happened about 2 weeks before the Royals were do to arrive she looked like she wanted to kill Mihoshi until Mihoshi grabbed her saying "Oh Kiyone I missed you so much" Mihoshi waled on and on until Kiyone said that "she missed her to" of course Mihoshi didn't see the expression on Kiyone's face as she said it.

As those two weeks passed it became apparent that Kiyone was the reason for Mihoshi's good reputation before she arrived on earth Kiyone was competent and more than willing to help out around the house.

Ayeka was concerned Ryoko hadn't provoked her once she began to wonder if Ryoko really did care about Tenchi but she pushed the doubt away if Ryoko was doing anything it was trying a new tactic to get Tenchi well she thought once Tenchi sees the splendor of the Royal Family he will see that we were meant to be together.

As the royal ship landed on the lake Ayeka and Sasami both had huge smiles on their face Tenchi was nervous and Kyone and Mihoshi were decked out in GP formal attire. However Ryoko, Washu, and Yosho had looks of wariness on their faces like they weren't really looking forward to this.

A few weeks earlier.

Tokimi appeared above a planet "Oshra I sealed your life force in this planet when I defeated you and took this universe I offer you a pardon of sorts bring my sister Washu and kill the only three people who can stand in my way and I will restore your body and Power do you accept" "Never," a voice inside the planet resounded "Regardless of your personal objections, I will model you after Washu's daughter" with that the planet exploded floating in the center is a woman with long green hair then three green gems appeared and one went into each wrist and one into her neck. "Of course I can't have you betraying me" Tokimi said "YAAAAAARRRRRRRR" Oshra screamed as her gems glowed and her free will was taken from her "Now go my slave bring me the Lady Washu and kill the others." Tokimi laughed as a black ship appeared Oshra entered it and then Tokimi sent it into the target universe.

Ayeka might seem OOC while drunk but this was based on her behavior in OAV5 she was drunk then too. Okay that last bit is ties in with the prologue that is what woke up Washu's dormant memory.
