This is the index of Section Three of Avy's Abode, which focuses on holidays and special events. In the interests of accuracy, I have mostly covered holidays which I celebrate, in the ways that I celebrate them. However, I have tried to include some links to sites which cover other holidays and traditions. I have not attempted to represent any particular religious viewpoint, but am open to a variety of traditions, new and old, secular and spiritual alike. I hope these pages serve to assist you in your own holiday celebrations, educate you about the rich history of these holidays, and entertain you and encourage your holiday spirit. In the case of memorial days, I hope to provide educational content to honor and remember the people whose lives and contributions continue to mean a great deal to the world.
Notice: This is an animal-friendly, vegan website. Since so many holidays revolve around food, and since vegetarians so often miss out on these traditions, many of these directories include vegetarian recipes. Even if you're not vegetarian, these recipes can be a great addition to your holiday!
