Avy's Abode aims to provide annotated web directories by topic for people interested in progressive political issues, as well as for the average web user. This site now has three sections, one political, one non-political, and one focusing on holidays and special events. Read the FAQ here.
In the first section you'll find pages on topics such as Fun and Humor, Free Stuff, Web Design, Astrology, Information and Internet Help, Music, and more, including an E-mail Forwards Archive.
The second section focuses on human rights activism, equity feminism, homeschooling, animal rights, veganism (vegetarianism), environmentalism, GLBT rights, and other progressive issues.
Section 3 of Avy's Abode focuses on holidays and special events. So far it covers Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Earth Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. All the recipes (and there are quite a few) are vegetarian. If you're looking for information or entertainment regarding any of these days, or are just wanting to get more in the holiday spirit...
