Clubs are asked to check their show schedules carefully to ensure that they are using the classes as laid down by the BCV To use unauthorised classes is to run the risk of not qualifying for a Diploma. BCV Staging Although the staging is still available for hire it will be the responsibility of the hirer to make arrangements to collect from, tow and return to the place of storage. The staging is presently housed at Moorabbin. Bookings are to be made through the Council Secretary and must be accompanied by a cheque for $30.00. Young Bird Variety Points The points system as it stands for the 3 Shield competitions,will be replaced by a new allocation system. 	Drinkers in Cages
	Drinkers are no longer an option at shows and are compulsory from the 1st January 1999. They are to be placed between the 4th and 5th vertical wires from the end furthest from the door of the show cage, resting on the centre cross wire, irrespective of the width of the bars on the cage front. This decision was made to avoid confusion among fanciers. Please use the correct sized approved drinker for the cage front Seed Mix in Show Cages Mixed seed consisting of at least 3 of the following. Plain Canary     Pannicum     Japanese Millet     White Millet     Hulled Oats     Must be used on the floor of the show cages for all shows. Underlays of paper, cardboard, or any other material , are not permitted. Cage stickers: Clubs are asked to adhere to the recommended colour system of: Blue = Champion Black = Open Green = Intermediate Red = Beginner
